Anne Silverman - Chairman

Past Chairman of WIZO English-Speaking Liaison Committee in Israel.  Life President - "Keren" English-speaking WIZO group in Netanya.  Active in fund raising for 30 years

David Silverman - Treasurer

Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.  Treasurer of Netanya Supporters of the Laniado Hospital in Netanya.  With his wife, Anne (above), active in fund raising for 30 years.

Aida Miller - Vice Chairman & Head of Outreach

A tireless worker in support of the Ethiopian community.  Active in the field, in liaison with the responsible social workers.  Hers is an "open house" for the local Ethiopians and a first port of call for anyone in trouble.

Sima Biton - Chairman, Nutrition Project

Was founder and CEO of a publishing Group; Chairman of an NHS Hospital and The North London Training & Enterprise Council ;  Warden of Kenton Synagogue; a volunteer in the 6-day war; active in The New Synagogue of Netanya and serves as a volunteer policeman.

David Berke - Chartered accountant. Made Aliyah from London 1995.My practice in the UK, besides providing financial and taxation  advice  was also auditor to various charities.  For over 40 years Board member of London synagogues and  was  Chairman of Nightingale Aid Society. 

Daphne Felix - Was a Justice of the Peace in London; a hospital volunteer; member of the Council of the United Synagogue and Vice-Chairman and executive officer of the Kenton Synagogue Ladies' Guild.    Worked on a kibbutz in 1967 as a volunteer.

Rachel D. Ginsbury, M.S.W., C.S.W. - Graduate of F.I.T., Queens College and Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service in N.Y.C. with 14 years experience in Child Welfare.  Enjoys relaxed time with semi-retired husband Nathan, time with children and grandchildren, friends, travel, illustration, creative writing and volunteer projects.

Marjorie Glick - Active in Jewish societies; member of Council of the Jewish Historical Society of England; member of the British Federation of University Women; past Chairperson, now Life President of The Jewish Research Group of the Edmonton Hundred Historical Society. 

Michal Kramer - An English tutor and former businesswoman and teacher.  She volunteers in a local school and works with FPF.

Steve Kramer - A writer and former businessman, now retired, spends his time working with FPF and a few other volunteer organisations.  Steve acts as the content coordinator for this website and is happy to receive information for publication - sjk1@jhu.edu

Bob Maharam - who has been in Israel since 1996 was born in New York, graduated as a Textile Engineer and developed the first Flame Resistant Decorative Fabrics business for installations in hospitals, hotels and all public buildings.
He has owned a Glass Art gallery, and his own Travel Agency which became one of the top 10 agencies in the area, specializing in corporate and cruise travel. He has been involved with charitable fund raising for many years.

Yosef Miller - A Rabbi and pioneering worker for Ethiopian aliyah.  Author of a definitive book profiling the Ethiopian Jewish community  and their origin.  

Renee Rabinowitz - Was a librarian in Cleveland,Ohio; President of Young Israel Women's League, Cleveland and Amit; Member of the Board of Management of Young Israel of North Netanya and actively involved in Emunah.

Ingrid Rockberger - Active in WIZO for over 30 years, holding many executive positions both in England and Israel. Today, Deputy Chairperson of World WIZO Publicity and Communications Department and Managing Editor of the international WIZO magazine WIZO Review.  Currently president of the genealogical society Jewish Family Research Association (JFRA) Israel. Professionally involved in publishing for 20 years in Israel. For eight years was head of English department of Docostory Ltd., a company documenting people's life stories.

Zena Shocket - Monitor and Vice President Bnai Brith: Vice chairman and Treasurer of Netanya Willing Hands; working with Ethiopian Jewry for 15 years.

Martin Shocket - Twenty five years on the board of Edgware Synagogue; Chairman of Edgware J.I.A. committee 1970 to 1990; Chairman of the Soviet Jewry committee 1978 to 1990; working to help Ethiopian immigrants since 1990; member of the Netanya Civil Guard, Chairman of the Young Israel Synagogue for 10 years;  President and Treasurer of Bnai Brith.

Wendy Starrfield, MSW, LCSW - was a Clinical Social Worker specializing in medical and public health services before making Aliyah in 1976 with Jeff. In Israel she was a senior psychiatric social worker and coordinator of volunteers for the Social Work Department of Shaar Menashe Government Mental Health Center.  Since retirement in 2003, after 38 years in the field of social work, she has devoted her time to travel and to volunteering for the FPF.

Jeff Starrfield, MSW, LCSW - was a Clinical Social Worker and director of a community mental health clinic before making Aliyah with Wendy in 1976.  In Israel he was Director of the Department of Social Work and Acting Director of the Division of Rehabilitation and Community Services at the Shaar Menashe Government Mental Health Center.  Since retirement in 2003, after 39 years in the field of social work, he has devoted his time to travel and to volunteering for the FPF

Richard Ward - After spending over 20 years on holiday living in Netanya, Richard is delighted to rejoin the British Friends of the Forgotten People Fund. Currently living in the London suburb of Stanmore, Richard is an active member of his synagogue. He's busy working with the shul's board of management and the community to build an ERUV for Stanmore.
