To: Mrs. Aida Miller

Greetings!

It is our intention to thank you and the Forgotten People Fund for your assistance to the new immigrants from Ethiopia and to the team of social workers in our area.

For several years you have allowed us to refer cases to you of Ethiopian families in our area in order for them to receive assistance in a variety of ways.  These requests are not presented formally, but you are available to our social workers and the families we work with 24 hours a day.  You have never refused a call for help when we asked for it.

In emergency cases when we asked for help the FPF responded and made certain to find an immediate solution.

This help has been given for the entire family  - for children of all ages; help in paying debts  for daily needs,  supplying clothing, furniture, electrical appliances, food vouchers, etc.  You take care of repairs in the homes of our families, you call the repairmen yourself and your FPF pays for these repairs.

Almost all the Ethiopian families in Azorim have received help from the FPF. They tell us about the kind way in which you treat them, with respect, warmth and concern. Your door is open to all of them, and you know and remember each family, their names and address and even their telephone numbers!

When you can’t find a family, you come to us to ensure that the family will receive the help they need.  I am not at all surprised that the families appreciate and love you.

And all this as a volunteer!

Keep up your good work and thank you and your committee from our whole team.

With warm regards,

Vice-Chairman of the Forgotten People Fund

Netanya

Dear Mrs. Miller,

We want to thank you and the people of the FPF yet again from the bottom of our hearts for the help you gave to the children at the afternoon kindergarten  (“tzaharon”) when we asked for your assistance.

With your help these youngsters can now avail themselves of care all day and enjoy, like all their friends in the kindergarten, a hot meal at lunchtime and a snack in the afternoon and a wide variety of activities especially for children their age. Their mothers can work longer hours and help the family live a better life.

This program is subsidized by the Municipality and the Ministry of Education but the parents have to pay 70 shekels a month per child. For some of the Ethiopian parents this wasn’t possible and their children could not have remained had it not been for your agreement to pay for several of the youngsters.

We thank you and congratulate you for the wonderful work you are doing for the Ethiopian community.

Sincerely yours and with thanks,

Simona Zamir,
