site Web design by | We are a hands-on charity run by volunteers to help Ethiopian families living below the poverty line in Netanya.The Forgotten People Fund (FPF) was honoured by Netanya municipality with an award for "outstanding volunteer service" in a ceremony which took place on Thursday, July 31st at the Netanya Amphitheatre. A large crowd watched as Netanya Mayor Miriam Fireberg presented the award, in the form of an engraved trophy, to Anne Silverman and Aida Miller, tireless workers for FPF. After the two had returned to their seats, they were surprised and gratified to receive a gift from a group of Ethiopian social workers, in recognition and appreciation of FPF's efforts to assist Netanya's Ethiopian community.

Our speaker is Ariel Kerem, the former Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia, who will talk about his experiences with the Ethiopian aliyah.
