Under the guidance of Clara Hirsch, the wife of the Canadian Ambassador to Israel, and a group of FPF volunteers, an English Tutoring Program has been created at Rashi Elementary School in South Netanya where the Ethiopian pupils make up more than 75% of the student body.

Pupils who could barely express themselves in English in September have made remarkable progress due to these dedicated volunteers. FPF is also helping create an English library at Rashi.

With the help of donors from England, FPF was able to plan and outfit a recreation area for the pupils to enjoy during recess and after school. The reward for these efforts - smiles on the faces of the youngsters at Rashi School as they use the swings, slides and jungle gym to have fun.
