For the past few years, FPF has organized Bar and Bat-Mitvah celebrations for Ethiopian youngsters whose families can’t afford this for their children.

In June 2008, the Baker family of Connecticut shared the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Henry, with 15 boys from Shapira Middle School. Henry, his parents, and his siblings will never forget the happiness they gave these 15 families.

FPF is very grateful for their thoughtfulness and generosity. FPF volunteers Jan Gaines and Barbara Burstein worked with the family and Shapira Middle School representatives to bring this project to fruition.
