On a glorious Monday, April 7 2008, a group of FPF
walkers joined Bradley Cohen of
allforthekids.org on a fun walk on the
Netanya ocean front promenade. FPF raised thousands of shekels in
advance of the walk from sponsors. In addition, each walker paid a
registration fee, all for the benefit of our Ethiopian kids - several of
whom joined in the festivities. We walked about 8 km in perfect weather
conditions and afterwards some of the group enjoyed a delightful lunch
at a cafe on the promenade. A good time was had by all!

| The Forgotten People Fund (FPF) is an NPO dedicated to helping Ethiopian families in Netanya. Our target is Ethiopian families living below the poverty line. We work with all the local social workers and also cooperate with school counselors and health workers. We also meet the families and discuss the best ways in which we can help them. |

Stephen Kramer resided and worked in the Atlantic City area until 1991, when he moved to Israel. In his regular weekly column in the "Jewish Times of the South Jersey Seashore" newspaper, he has now written more about the FPF |

We are looking for friends to help us assist these families and make a better life possible for them. Netanya has the largest number of Ethiopians living in one city in Israel (12,500) and many of them are recent newcomers (arrived between 2002 and 2006) who are struggling to become acclimatized to life in Israel.
